That is why I take great pride in the following...

The Boston Herald reported this weekend that “a simmering dispute led two boxing writers who work for the same newspaper company - Ron Borges of the Boston Globe and Michael Katz of The New York Times - to get in a knockdown brawl themselves while they were in Las Vegas to cover title matches.”

“Borges and Katz Traded punches before being separated during an interview session with boxing promoter Bob Arum on Thursday at the MGM Grand.”

The beauty is that with the significant physical advantage (Mike Katz requires a cane to walk, Borges is a former college football standout), Borges kicked the New Yorker’s ass! WOO HOO! BOSTON RULES BABY! The classless drunk in me hopes that Borges was wearing a “Yankees Suck” t-shirt during the fight.

As I bask in the glory of another great moment in Boston sports history, I do recall that turnabout is fair play. So, any New Yorker can feel free to fire back any retort they see fit. A New York moral victory perhaps? How about a report on the shocking number of Bostonians that lose intelligence from to conversation with New Yorkers each year?
