Discuss Mavricks owner Mark Cuban

Okay so the flamboyant owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, made some stupid/idiot comments the other night after the game that if the Mav's loose the series he may sell the team because he basically stated that the NBA was fixed. He opened his big mouth once again, costing him another $200 K, which to him is not much. Now this is not a personal attack on him as a person, but as an owner. He is a crybaby and just needs to shut his mouth. I am sure that there are some in the NBA's front office that would love to see him sell the team and say good riddance to him. I am sure Stern just laughs when he hears that Cuban opened his mouth again, or maybe he sees dollar signs

Well Is Cuban a Crybaby!

Looks like those comments cost his team last night.
21 free throws for Wade.Almost as many as the entire Dallas team.

I think he is a publicity hound, he ain't happy unless the spotlight is on him. Given that I also think he provides some comic relief from the usual dull and dour realm of sports team owners.

I LOVE Mark Cuban! I want him to become the new owner of the Flyers, Raiders and the Phillies. IMO he is the best owner in all of sports. He does whatever he can to get the best players for the team... he gives his players everything they need to be competitive.

Sure he may whine a little, but thats whats so great about him. We sit on this message board and whine about issues all day long. We whine about our teams getting "screwed", making bad decisions, refs screwing our teams, etc, etc, etc. He is a fan, just like us... except he has billions of dollars to go out and buy a team. Mark Cuban is just like you and I outside of the money.

He is by far the most entertaining owner in sports. He treats his players as equals. Don't forget how bad the franchise was when he took over, they were horrible.

I like him for most of the same reasons the rest do...however crying about officiating bothers me no matter what sport unless absolutley warranted and even then these people are human. 250K seemed a little steep for his passion about his team winning though.....not like he can't afford that over and over and over and over...etc etc etc lol

Again I am not stating that he is bad as a person, as an owner it is okay to be a little strange, i am sure that you have earned that right by spending so much money on a franchise like the Mavricks. My point is that he is pissing up a rope too much, I mean the fines are a little steap, but you think that if you had over $1 million in fines, you'd learn to shut your mouth!!!!!!

As an owner, Mark Cuban is second to none. He pays what he needs to (sometimes overpays) in order to put a winner on the floor. I could give a rats' left nut if he shaved his head; wore a tutu; and went on every late night show there is, so long as he keeps the players happy to play in Dallas. I should know about bad owners as we have the anti-Cuban in Tom Hicks, and that F'er owns TWO local teams!!!!
