Utah WR Hernandez's eligibility extended (AP)
The NCAA has granted Utah receiver Brian Hernandez a one-year eligibility extension. Hernandez, now 22, sat out his freshman season at Georgia Tech in 2002 because of a thigh injury. He had to sit out another year because of NCAA rules when he transferred to Arizona State. Hernandez played at Arizona's Pima Community College in 2004, then enrolled at Utah in 2005.
