Unbreakable, Part 2
Last time, I took a look at some of the most famous (and infamous) pitching records. Now, it’s time to look at the hitting records. I agree with DiMaggio's 56, but it'll be very difficult to do. Whoever does it will be a very good, very lucky hitter. It is, however, just a matter of time, as you said.
Stuff like Rose's hit records and single-season batting average won't, in my opinion, be broken because they're just such incredibly huge numbers. I don't think any player right now can break them. |

And it's official! In the bottom of the third inning, Ichiro Suzuki got his second single of the game, breaking George Sisler's 84-year-old record of 257 hits in a single season. Ichiro is the new single-season hits king. 258 hits is now the record, and that total will surely grow over the rest of this weekend.
