Who will be the NFL's 2006 biggest bust?

I saw this morning that Leinart is playing the second quarter this weekend. Since he was such a prick and has the biggest head of last years class, i forsee him as Ryan Leaf. No reason, i just see that true for this guy. But on topic, who do ya'll think will be this years top NFL bust and why?

I'd say Brookes in Oakland but he's only had one good year out of 4 or so. So i'm thinking Larry Johnson will be this years biggest bust. He lost his lead and big ole Roafey. Or maybe T.O. b/c he'll never get along with Parcells and Bledsoe is close to 90 years old by now. With no true RB threat, he'll be pressured much too often and force the ball to a doubled T.O. who wont even go over the middle.

Being a Falcons fan, i am ready for Vick to show us his maturity and that he has improved. Still no decent WR's to throw too and Alge cant live in the middle too much longer. Maybe Roddy steps up. All i know is Matt Schaub is the next Brady. Let's get him the ball and man up and trade Vick for a huge run-stopper.

Yeah,I was thinking something similar about Leinart.But more like the next
Vinny Testeverde who lost a championship in his last game too.

I have no clue who will be the biggest bust, what qualifies someone to be a bust?

But the Cowboys don't have a threat at RB? J. Jones and M. Barber are a year older and were both pretty solid last year. They will be even better this year. Which is funny that I say that because i was VERY down on Jones after college. However, i still believe the Boys shouldn't have traded their pick and should have drafted Steven Jackson when they had the chance.

Leinart can not be a bust this year. Its that simple. He's a rookie who isn't supposed to be a starter yet. Back-up QB's can not be busts.

Vick is a career bust. He's not going to be different this year, he's been in the league long enough to show what he can and can't do. 55% completion percentage, had 18 turnovers last year. He's simply not a NFL top QB and he was the #1 overall pick. BUST.

Hmm so many to choose from as possible canidates.

Jay completely agree with you about Vick...career bust...period!

Brooks....I really wouldn't consider a bad year as a bust...the Raiders took a chance on him while he has been struggling over the past few years...so I don't think he can be a bust with another bad year.

Agree about Leinart you can't be a bust if you are not the starter and a rookie.

I have been debating the Larry Johnson thoughts in my head. Losing Roaf will be tough plus he also lost Richardson who I feel was an integral part of KC's complete running game. Do I think he will be a bust? Not really but I could see lower numbers than the god like predictions out there right now easily.

I have others...I need to get my thoughts straight.

Vince Young! I've mentioned this before, I see him being the next Kordell Stewart.
I also think that Reggie Bush could be a bit of a let down. He is not an everydown back. White rushed quite a bit for USC.
I wouldn't mind seeing Leinart suck. After all, the cards are in my division

So what you are saying is that if Leinart takes over half way through the season and doesn't do well in his first 8 games of his NFL career, he is a bust??

And also, you are saying Vince Young's career will be a bust correct? That could be and i won't argue that with you.... but there is no way he is a bust if he has a bad year his rookie season. If that was the case than you could have called Peyton Manning a bust after his rookie season.

What i was classifying as a bust was players who would be let-downs. Leinart can be a letdown this year b/c i'd bet he does start by at least halfway. Warner is brittle. Rookies can be busts b/c the big names are projected starters and a couple are slated to be impact players like Bush and a couple of the TE's whom i forget the names of.

I hope Cuttler becomes a bigshot b/c the Vandy story season was just fabulous.

i haven't got the slighest of clues cause jay and beers bring up good points...but my guess at this point is tiki barber...he's gonna have a down year
