Is Woods that good!

At just 30 years old, he just won his 12th major..pretty impressive you gotta believe. I am not really into golf that much

Tried it for a year or so, but lost interest

Thoughts on Woods after his win yesterday!

Will he go on to be the best ever? Is he already?

Yes*
Too many other superstars competed with Nicklaus whereas Tiger is all by himself in that class today.Too say he is better than Nicklaus,no one will ever know.

He is the best today no doubt about it. When Mickelson and Singh and all the others show up they know they are palying for second unless Tiger has a real bad day.

Is he better than Nicklaus? We'll never know for sure, but the argument can be made. One thing I feel sure about. he is the first "Great Athlete" to pursue golf from the beginning.

What are you talking about Bil? Didn't John Daly persue golf from the begining as well??

I know very little about golf or the history of the sport, so i can't compare him to the "old" golfers. But i do know that the dude wins seemingly all the dam time. If there were better golfers than him, they must have been incredible.

Cool

Yes he did, but he was not (opinion of course) a "great athlete". I couldn't imagine Nicklaus succeeding in another major sport. Tiger I believe could have been successful in whatever sport he chose.

I'm sure Tiger is right up there with Jack.As far as the athlete thing goes, thats true in most any sport. Atletes are bigger and stronger in baseball,football,hockey....you name it,every sport.

Of course it's speculation. That is all you can do when comparing stars from different eras or different sports. I stand by however, my statement that Tiger is the first "great athlete" to pusue golf from the start, meaning from his youth.

jack nicklaus is the best overall, because he won nineteen majors, and i forget the number but something like 25 second place finishes in majors. woods is probably about two years away from being the best. he has that domination factor like nicklaus. tiger just became the second fastest to 50 pga wins. so he is on his way. he has to maintain this level of dominance, to prove he has the longevity of nicklaus. nicklaus won a major at 46 which is really impressive. most guys that age are on the downside, and ready for the senior tour. i watched the match the other day, and it is amazing how tiger gets in the head of other golfers. he makes everyone change their game, because they know he is going to make shots.

After watching ESPN news on Saturday and the highlights of woods, I thought that no way he would comeback on Sunday. Man this guy is incredible. This is his what, his 4th straight....

How much money does Nike pay him anyway?
