Sports Writers Hurt Fans

Sports writers, commentators etc. hurt FANS by not speaking out about OBSCENE sports contracts for players, coaches and management. By not finding their balls or ovaries (in the case of Mary Kay Cabot) and being consistently critical of obscene sports contracts, they hurt sports fans, owners and...

I hafta agree.

It sort of makes season tickets a must if your a regular, just give off the ones you dont want to friends for dough..... or favors

If prices were lower, I'd dfeinatley go, and the fact that owners have to compensate for high salaries and such, its no wonder that Im not going because of the prices.

Hell, if I had cheap tickets, I'd be going to two games a weekend, just bike to my station, hop it into city, take the greenline and Im there.

Obscene salaries are not the players fault. The players don't set contracts. The owners do. The owners pay them that much because they can afford it. The owners set ticket prices that high because they know sports fans will pay it; they each having city-wide monopolies in providing professional sports entertainment.

I must do say though, that all players are not greedy.

Look at Manny, I believe a while ago when there were wild trade rumors with Pedro he said that he would give up some of his contract (or defer or something).

I have to disagree with your statement, well somewhat. I do belive that in the beginning that the owners are at fault, but the prices are set so hi these days that they got themselves (the owners) into this problem. The fact is that most players these days are greedy fuckers that try and stretch the bank. Then the Owners do not have a choice but to raise their ticket prices

Nope. Mike. You're wrong. Dead wrong.

I will prove it in an article someday.
