2006 World Series: Cardinals vs. Tigers

So, I kind of hoped somebody else would remember to make a thread like this before I finally remembered tonight, 7 innings into Game 1 of the Series. Right now, the Cardinals are winning 7-1, and they have looked pretty damned good.

So, with the Cardinals on the verge of taking a 1-0 lead in the World Series, who is going to be the winner? The Cardinals or the Tigers?

I've got my money on the Cardinals in 6, and I'll stick to that, despite tonight's Game 1 domination.

This series has me full of consternation.
Kenny Rodgers is a miserable human being, so seeing him loose would be a good thing. On the other hand, Joe Buck is nothing more than a St. Louis cheerleader so having them loose and him having to call it might be fun.
You could look at it as that I'd win either way. Unfortunately, I see it as loosing either way.

I truly thought that there would be more of a show by Detroit! I thought that it was their year! Eckstein had a career night and if the Cards win, then they deserve it and I would be the first to congratulate St. Louis fans and the team

yeah I forgot about that, lol (which is not hard these days)

It would be good for them to win!! Pujols deserves it IMO to go along with his other awards

but if they win, who gets MVP?
