Boy was I wrong.

Vinatieri, who signed as a free agent with the Indianapolis Colts, propelled the New England...

My rules on booing;

Always boo the following:
1. Philadelphia Flyers
2. New Jersey Devils
3. Daryl Strawberry
4. St. Louis Cardinals
5. Chicago Cubs
6. Mexican National Team

probably more but that's a good start.

Its because the fans felt betrayed by him. He was a hero, one of the players that a child would name if asked about the Pats, and then he went to Indi, who allthe Pats fans love.

I can understand this.In a perfect world, you want to think the players on your team have a sense of loyalty to the fans of the city. Sadly, those days are long gone.

He is a great and clutch kicker, but how much money do you allocate for that position. In the end a kicker, no matter how talented or clutch can only produce when the rest of the team puts him in position to do so.

Indy has him now and I wish them both luck in their endeavors this year and next.

That's what I'm saying. No loyalty anymore.Highest bidder wins. Not saying taking more money is wrong.Just speaking from a fans point of view not the team or players POV

well some fans should understand that they play this game not only for the love of it but to support their family...if you worked at company a and made 50k and then company b comes along and gives you 100k for the exact same job and the location isn't a factor...don't you take that job cause it betters your living situation?

Lets see, this year I booed:
1. Bonds- he's a cheater- cheered when he struck out to lose the game

2. A-Rod obvious reasons- also cheered when he struck out to lose the game

3. Hutchinson... for obvious reasons

4. The Raiders because they are dirty fucking cheaters who constantly lead the league in penalties...
I think that's about it for this year!

Not many players are offered double their salary by a different team.

Anyway... I say boo away. Boo whoever you want to for whatever reason. (i'm talking pro's only here, not pee-wee soccer) No matter what level of player you are, you are making a ton of money, and should be able to handle a few boos now and then. Its not like a Boo is going to come out of the stands and hit you in the head.

Sure and I agree.Again,it just a fan mind set that they want to believe that they are what's most important. There is a feeling of betrayal when a key player leaves for more money. It's just a natural feeling to a die hard fan.
Of course when we are talking millions of dollars, feeding your family/living situation isn't really an issue.
