I didn't read the whole artice, simply because i couldn't stomach the excuse making. Have you ever been to Shay (sp?, where the Mets play)? That stadium is a huge hunk of shit as well. And the parking lot is a shit hole too, and you have to pay a ton to park there. However, they have NO problem getting fans to their games. This is just the latest in excuse's from the Devils as to why no one goes to the games.

If it makes you feel better, than sure... you can buy it. I'm not, and IMO anyone who does is blind.

Shay has its own subway stop and isn't in the middle of a swamp.

Same with the Islanders.

Penguins arena is downtown, surrounded by well... everything that is normally in the downtown of a city.

From what I've heard, the Islanders suffer from a similar middle of nowhere, lack of transit probably as the Devils. Still not in a toxic swamp, though.

Oh come on, if people wanted to go to the games they would. The Jets and Giants have no trouble selling out, and i think its safe to say the transportation situation is exactly the same thing there.

i didn't read the article at all....but i'm gonna chime in anyway....continental arena has to be the worst arena in sports...hockey and b-ball....its old, has no amenities...the seats are cramped and uncomfortable...parking sux and cost minimum $15..even if you have to park at giants stadium and walk the mile to the arena....the traffic is horrendous cause they lack other ways to get to the stadium....what they need to do is get a train station up and running in that area...along with new stadiums...and increased ways to get to the turnpike to alleviate traffic....
