Denver to win championship now?
So you throw the NBA's number 2 with the NBA's number 1 scorer and you win a championship right?
Something tells me that I dont think so, I think that adding these two together wont help the franchise and that Denver gave up too much for AI |

Gave up way too much for the second leading scorer, have you seen AI's resume? They gave up an above average PG a big contract on a worthless player and two mid 20's draft picks. The picks could hurt depending but they certainly did not lose out in the deal.
Will the win it? I don't know its way to early to tell how these players will gel on the same team. One thing Denver doesn't have is good D and they certainly didn't get any in this deal, but did give some up. |

AI still has to prove he can play with other Marquee players. He has played with big names in the past but no Carmelo. His track record indicates it may not work.

In no way does adding AI to this team at this point in the season equal a championship. The West is WAY to stacked with proven teams. The Mavericks are on a huge roll, have won their last 5 and STILL havn't gained ground on the Spurs.

i agree with nick...this won't win them the championship but it made them a heck of alot better....

a heck of a lot better offensivley, that won't stack up against the power houses of the Mavs, Spurs, and Suns.
