This HOF voting is a complete joke. How can some writers not vote for either Ripken or Quinn? What is the logic behind that? Is hard to take the BBWA seriously when they act like jackasses!

Yeah, i said before, anyone who doesn't vote for Ripken or Gwynn shouldn't be allowed to vote anymore.

There is always someone with an axe to grind. A writer(since deceased) in Boston said once that he would never vote for Rice because he didn't like him on a personal level.

They give some people's reasons (if the writer gives them their reasons). Like the one dude cast an empty ballot because he won't vote for anyone during the "juiced era". So he won't vote for ANYONE? Whats the point in him having a vote then?

Like Bil said, some just have personal grudges. What a stupid way to vote! I didn't like Mike Schmidt, so i'm not going to vote for him... reguardless that he is one of the greatest of all time.

Yeah thats some BS, the whole system, and who are these fools just beat writers for baseball right nothing more nothing less....how does their opinion matter more than say mine or a million other insanley knowledgeable baseball people, like Gammons.

I'm 99.9% sure he gets a vote... but i get your point and agree. But because baseball is all about tradition, i don't think it will ever be changed.

A writer has to be in the BBWAA for ten years before he is eligible to vote. I don't know what other requirements there are.

Well if Gammons gets a vote not all is lost with that group of "writers". Do these guys ever "retire" from voting or move on and give their vote to someone else or is this like the Free Mason's a secretive no one knows anything just deal with the end results type of organization?

Maybe this is the Football HOF and Brady Quinn is getting a WAYYYY early nod?
