Vinatieri lifts Colts over Ravens 15-6 (AP)

Peyton Manning couldn't get Indianapolis into the end zone and, for once, it didn't matter. That's because Adam Vinatieri provided the Colts with all the offense they needed to advance to the AFC championship game. Signed during the offseason specifically for his playoff experience, Vinatieri...

Well, really hard to get a feel for what the Colts will do next week after facing two horrible offencive outings in a row in the Cheifs and Ravens.
Steve McNair-Hang it up buddy, you stink!

Were they really horrible offensive outings or did the Indy defense actually step up the last two weeks and do what they had to do?

I am going to give credit to Indy here. Two good defensive outings in the playoffs deserve as much.

poor peyton manning. he finally gets back to the afc championship game, and has that warm fuzzy feeling that he might get to the super bowl. but then what happens the patriots win. if we go on past playoff performances the patriots should be a lock to go to the super bowl. if we go with todays theme God hates seattle, peyton manning, and big mike.

I credit Indy's D for two good showings to get them where they are, of course along with Manning. I do think however that the Ravens approach to this game was waaaayyyy too conservative offensivly. It was like their game plan was we will run and manage a conservative offense and let our D shut down the Colts O. They didn't seem to adjust at all during the game, they needed a lot more less conservative shots taken on O.

You are right, they got conservative after that end zone interception. What a waste that they kept the Colts out of the endzone and still lost.

What choice did the Ravens have? It was obvious McNair and his recievers weren't making anything happen.

Rusty, I think the offensive game plan was set conservative from the start and they really didn't try to steer away from that.

The Colts deserve a lot of credit for proving almost everyone wrong with their Defensive play so far in the playoffs.
