Mora going home: Ex-Falcons coach joining Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks on Sunday reached agreement with former Atlanta Falcons coach Jim Mora to serve as assistant head coach/secondary. Details of Mora's contract were not immediately available.

Did Seattle's management do this because they are unsure if Holmgren will retire?
Is Mora just waiting until Ty Willingham gets fired from UW?

I'm surprised Mora took this and didn't wait or get a HC job. Though he could be waiting on Holmgren to move aside. Wierd.

I think thats it... he'll be a name in Washington again, and he'll be close enough to follow the team better. Plus it would be hard for him to get a head coaching job with every owner knowing he will leave for UW the first chance he gets.

A lot of people speculate that he got fired because he was on the local KJR morning sports show over here, and he said that if the HC job ever opened at UW he would drop whatever he had going in an instant and take it. That really pissed the Falcons owners off. I would like to think he got fired because of his 7-9 season, and the fact that he only made the post-season once in his 3 year stay in atlanta. I am happy to have him as a Defensive back's coach, not so happy if it becomes head coach...
