Thumbs up Irvin, Thomas among '07 HoF inductees

I am very happy for Michael Irvin. I think that it is a most deserved honor for the man who played his heart out for the Dallas Cowboys. He was part of an elite few and while I understand why he had to wait for his third year of eligibility, I am glad that he did not have to wait for his fourth....

Plus he likes to snort Cocaine off of hooker's asses and get arrested for driving under the influence, and run his god damn annoying mouth non-stop! Congrats Irvin, yet another reason to go take a celebratory snort! Luckily you they don't randomly drug test announcers!

And good thing he wasn't a baseball player trying to get into the HOF. He would never get voted in.

It's only annoying b/c he didn't play for your team AND he could back it up.

Really? The Baseball Hall of Fame dosen't have any drug users (former or otherwise) in it? Wow. Congrats to them.

Michael Irvin likes to snort coke off hooker's asses, good for him. He's got the money to buy his way out of anything. Put him in the HOF, forever make him a role-model. Have you ever seen him announce a pre-game show? He is a fucking loud mouth annoying coke addict, if his football skills outway his criminal past, if the league thinks he should forever represent them, then so be it... I just think the guy is a creep.

Maybe I'm bogging in semantics but you were talking about the Baseball HOF. I think it's clear that the Baseball HOF is having issues with performance inhancing drugs and Irvin, while accused of many things, has not been tied to anything of this nature.

I think we all know that the Pro Football HOF has more than its fair share of guys that are not role models in any form or fashion.
You call him a loud mouth and I call him outspoken and I'll say it again; if Steve Largent had the same past, you wouldn't bat an eye at it.

True, but would Irvins issues have kept him out just the same?
By the same token if Steve Largent had Irvins past, would you support Largent getting in?

The Football HOF has no morals clause, induction is based on performance on the field or with the parameters of management. While I do not admire Irvin as a person(based on the little I actually know about him) I have no issues with his being in the HOF.
