Colorado Avalanche rookie Paul Stastny assisted on a first-period goal Sunday, giving him a point in his 18th consecutive game and setting the NHL record for the longest point streak by a rookie.

Damn, too bad for this dude that Malkin couldn't get over here last season. He'd have rookie of the year wrapped up. 66 points in 69 games as a rookie? Impressive.
