No Need to Panic
The way Joe Torre used his bullpen over the weekend you would think the Yankees and Red Sox were playing a seven-game series in October instead of a relatively meaningless three-game series in April.
Torre is a great manager that usually knows how to push all the right buttons but some of his... Full Article |

Marc man I can see that you are a Yankees fan and that is admirable, but I hope and always have that they fall apart. I say this because of the amount of money they spend and continue to fail!!

Clearly a Yankees fan
![]() But what he said is true. I didn't put too much into this series as a telltale of the rest of the series that will be played out. Looking at the series beforehand there were way too many injuries on the Yankees part to even consider it a show of whats to come. That one pitcher had come from what, AA ball? Not even AAA. Ah yes the Monday morning manager. If Torre had brought in some other pitcher instead of Rivera and the same thing happened you would be criticizing him not bringing in Rivera.

of course they count the same, but can you say this series will determine the outcome of the year?? the fact is, 3/5 of the starting pitching was out and we still led in every game where you had your top 3 pitchers going and we had 3 rookies going...your prized offseason acquisition gave up 7 runs to us....i wouldn't be sizing up for rings just yet if i was you

Ah ssigs, I am not burying the Yanks yet. They have far to many good bats. Their pitching only really has to be adequate for them to make a real run and I would guess it will get there soon enough.
