Young Sens Fan Dies of Cancer
Man, shit like this is too sad, and makes it impossible for me to have bad feelings towards Fisher and Phillips.
Three-year-old Elgin Fraser ended his battle with cancer just hours after he watched his favourite team, the Ottawa Senators, win a place in the Stanley Cup finals. Propped up... Full Article

its about time we finally hear some stories of some athletes who really take some time out of there lives and give back to the fans....really great story with an unfortunate loss

Hockey players are the good guys... proof good guys finish last?
But these guys really did do more than they had to for this kid. Too sick to play hockey, Elgin and Sens centre Mike Fisher spent the day watching movies and playing with toy cars. Who does that?

great post Jay. Very sad story but also uplifiting to see that there are still some real people that happen to be pro athletes. There are many examples of the better side of athletes out there, it's too bad the media tends to focus on the negative. There are a number of edmonton oilers who visit the terminal kids at the edmonton cancer and children's hospitals, and edmonton eskimos too. I'm sure this happens in every pro franchise city, and I'm proud of the pros that take the time and effort to provide some sunshine to these poor kids. Hope you have great seats in heaven Elgin.
