Foreman's Last Stand
George Foreman has had many lives. He has been a gold medal winner, a two-time heavyweight champion, an ordained Christian minister and a ridiculously successful businessman. But now at the age of 58 he seems to have taken on a new role: liar.
In his recent memoir, “God in My Corner,” Foreman... Full Article |

Couldn't agree more Marc... i was actually mad that he wrote that, now. Not one time in all of my following of boxing (which is alot) did I hear anything about this. But now come out with something like this? If this were true, he would have been standing on top of building screaming and demanding a re-match. He would have been in the public eye to "save face" and make the excuses then.
I still like ol Georgie, but my opinion of him as a person has dropped a bit. |

I just heard a quick interview with him on a sports radio show this morning. He claims he made the claim about the 'medicine in the water' to Sports Illustrated in 1982 (or so - I am not positive he said 82, but it was in the eighties). meh, I still call BS on him.

And i don't want to say he didn't tell people about this when it happened. However, if something like that happened to him, one would think he'd be telling everyone he could.

Foreman is a boxer, preacher, businessman, but business comes first and that is what this is all about.

Oh this is unbelievable. The fact is, the Champ handed his ass to him in Zaire (one of the best fights of all time, along with the Thrilla in Manilla).
I have never had any beef (pun intended) with Foreman, although I once had a burger that was cooked on his "grill", and everything that makes a burger good had been sucked right out of it. I can now say I have lost a lot of respect for him. |

I have met a lot of men who practice what they preach. But in the end,no human can always do that.
