Good thread Gunner... i have a special love of this Cup because it is one of the very first soccer things i ever followed (outside of the world cup). But admittedly, i don't get as into in until the better teams start playing.

for the most part, all the mls teams use there reserve players in the first few rounds..its a good way to get them experience and to see what they can do...its no shock that they lose early on...once they make the quarters though, you usually see the top players..they do it like that all over the world

It wasn't like that last year. Last year all 8 QF teams were MLS teams, and this year just 3. They must have cared much less this season. But Harrisburg is in the USL-2 division... DC must have played guys like me.

We've really been slacking with the soccer.
The NE Revs beat FC Dallas to win the US Open Cup 3-2. Revs player Pat Noonan wins the Player of the Tourney award. |
