Women have their own league and their own tournaments. Sure, this is a publicity stunt and at least its not a major. But IMO, this is a precursor to what Martha Burke was trying to do. This is to guage the interest or lack thereof of the general, paying public. If the public doesn't care, you'll see more women playing in the PGA, which will throw diesel fuel on Burke's fire.
Vijay Singh has already withdrawn from the Colonial, alledgedly for promising his wife he would take a week off next time he won a tournament. Fittingly, the won the tournament that preceded the Colonial, which Sorenstam is playing in. My take is to let the women play in their league, the men play in their league, and if you want women and men to play together than create a co-ed league or set of tournaments like they do the Skins game. |

This is complete bullcrap. They have the LPGA, so WHY DO THEY HAVE TO JOIN THE PGA TOUR????? There is no reason except to yield to the wishes of Satanic feminists.

but the way I see it, let them play. The guys are just afraid of being beaten by a woman. and yes some of them will probably be beaten by her. big deal. time to suck it up and let woman play on the PGA. Now if it was the GPGA than maybe not. |

If she qualified for the Tour and played all year, fine
But she is taking a spot away from a man struggling to make a living |
