Thumbs down Bettman gets $2mil raise
ARE... YOU... KIDDING... ME!?!?!

NHL owners rewarded Commissioner Gary Bettman and Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly coming out of the lockout, giving each of them a roughly $2 million raise for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006, according to the league’s tax return.


Bettman’s salary rose...

Not totally sure about revenues... but the tv ratings are way down. And teams aren't losing much money because they implimented this salary cap.

But a guy who is hurting the league should not be getting his salary raised.

Well he did get the salary cap thingee in place which really helped out most of the owners. And since the owners are paying him I kind of see why they gave him a raise. I suppose since most owners do not look at it from a fans perspective they may not think that he is ruining the game.

considering a wnba game almost did better ratings than i believe it was game two of the nhl finals, i would say bettman DOES NOT deserve tis raise.

I think he deserved the raise. Think about how big corporations always give out raises and bonuses to undeserving execs.
