Kobe’s childish antics
Anyone who has had children, or spent time around them, knows what happens when kids don’t get what they want. They pout, they make a fuss, they show their displeasure and sometimes they cause a scene.
NBA superstar Kobe Bryant is no different than a child. Shortly after the Los Angeles Lakers... Full Article |

The Lakers should just trade him. There is always a sucker out there somewhere. Find a team that is stagnant both as a team and as a fan base, hold them up for whatever talent they have and get some draft picks to boot.
Kobe can then go on and win a few more scoring titles ala Pete Maravich, Bob MacAdoo or Dominique Wilkins. The Lakers can rebuild, reload and move on. |

I'd be mad and want to be traded too if the best years of my career were being wasted while trying to let a bunch of young players develop. They had chances to make moves to bring in some help for him and the Lakers refused to pull the trigger. I guarantee the Lakers would have won more games last year with Jason Kidd then with Andrew Bynum who for some reason they just couldn't part with in a trade. He was told things that were untrue by the owners, the Lakers haven't made any upgrades to try to help him win more games, so why exactly should he stay?

Exactly Bil. Where was this desire to win when he demanded the Lakers dismantle a championship team??

100% agree with Bil here...he wanted to be the man and prove he was the reason for success not Shaq who went on to win another championship. He made his bed he should have to lay in it for the rest of his career.
I hate the Lakers and hope he stays and they downgrade every player. |

Bil (and Rusty and Beers) - I could not agree more. Hope the lakers load up on young unproven players and they torment Bryant into retirement. He got what he asked for so live with it.

I don't have a problem with what he's doing, just didn't feel like fighting about it. You can all act like you know what happened in LA, but you have no clue what was said behind closed doors.
Kobe said management told him they were getting rid of Shaq no matter what. They felt he was getting older and didn't want to have to resign him for the huge long term contract he was going to get. And Shaq said he believes this is what happened. This would throw out the whole "run Shaq out of town arguement" if its true. |

I never have proof for anything I say and I'm OK with that.
