Under 20 World Cup
Okay, so yes, i'm bored with no other sports to watch so i'm following this Cup as well. The USA crushed Poland 6-1, with Freddie Adu getting a hat trick. We next play Brazil in our final game of group play tomorrow. We earlier had a shitty draw with Korea.

I was hoping that FSC would have picked this one up but no such luck. But I did see the USA-Poland result and was happy to see our young uns do a fine job.

Are any of the later rounds going to be on tv anywhere?
I don't know much about many of the teams, but Poland beat Brazil.. so i'm guessing we've got a good shot at beating Brazil. |

freddy adu scored an amazing! goal against poland...they showed it on sportscenter...unfortunately i don't believe any station will carry the later rounds...what the hell is fsc good for...geez

Sweet... ESPN will carry the USA vs. Brazil under 20 game tonight at 7:30 eastern. Also, ESPNU seems to be carrying some games as well... i didn't get to watch, but they had the Mexico game last night.

So... can we just ahve the U-20 team suit up for the world cup in '010? Or would that not be fair to the rest of the world?
ALSO, which will happen first... a Philly team wins a championship OR the US wins the world cup? remember they only play the world cup every 4 years... my guess is US team |

Who knows, maybe this U-20 team can add a few guys to the 2010 team. They are kicking major ass in the current Cup.
But a Philly team will win a championship before the US wins a World Cup. |

its possible to see some of these guys in 2010...bradley, alitdore, adu possibly..szetela(sp) if he continues to grow...and the goalie who's name eludes me is playing stellar and could be the #2 or 3
but its u-20...a far cry from the big boy stages |

They may be young but, when I see a complete waste of DNA like Eddie Gaven being given a National Team spot I say let the young uns play!
