Nelson Wants More Money

So we all know that players hold out for more money and that this is not current news, but Don Nelson has stated that he wants more money if he is to return to the Warriors as head coach next season

I honestly do not know if he deserves it or not, he is already making something like $5 million, but I am sure he will get it because of what the Warriors accomplished this past season

Does a coach's salary count towards their cap?

I don't believe the coach count towards the cap, it wouldn't make any sense. Not like it matters anyway... the NBA salary cap is more of a suggestion than a rule.

I'd tell Nelson to take a hike.

I am not sure about that Jay, I think it does but in no way would I tell him to take a hike, look what he has done for the Warriors

Doesn't look like it counts against the cap... and like I said, what sense would that make?

If you look at Nelsons history he has taken the Warriors as far as he going to. He build teams, gets them to a certain level and then doesn't do what it takes to get the team to the final step. See ya Donny, I hers the Bucks need help again.

Yeah exactly. I can't picture Don Nelson sitting at home with a pile of bills
telling his wife he doesn't know how he is going to make ends meet.

Drives me nuts! Here I struggle and this guy says $5mil a year isn't enough. I'm not mad he gets that much, he's worked for it... i'm mad because he's not happy with it.
