Now I know I'm probably the only Cubs fan on this board but... Do you think with Hendry not making any moves with holes in CF, C, and (kind of SS). Do you think the Cubs will overtake the Brewers without making any moves? Sure the cubs have made up 7.5 games since june 3rd but they aren't going to continue to win at the clip they did from June 3rd to July 24th I think it was a winning % of 76.
I was just wondering if you felt the way I did that Hendry without picking up another bat could be blowing a great opportunity in making the playoffs with staying set on his lineup.
One thing that could change my opinion is if DLee starts producing more he has not been the same since the injury last year. He is batting .328 but his lack of homerun power this year with only 11 homers. If he was hitting more home runs this year the Cubs would probably be a few games ahead of the Brewers.
Any thoughts on what no move on Hendry could cause? Cubs falter or Cubs continue to play well and take the lead in the NL Central?

looks as if they are standing pat...can't blame the guy with the way they are playing...you don't trade just to trade..if noone is out there, no reason to make a move...

Cubs are playing good ball. What would have given up to fill a hole?

Although Pie is a great prospect if they could've went out and gotten someone to fill the catchers hole. I would've appreciated it. But Hendry refused to try and sell Pie causing no teams to even look for a trade with the Cubs. Most every team that started talks with the Cubs talked about wanting Pie.
Kendall is like 3-30 as a cub w/ 2 rbis i believe really not good production. Jacque jones is playing good enough for me right now so really I just wanted them to pick up another catcher but ilke ssigs said if no one is dealing and you have no one to sell or buy from theres no point to just trade.

yea i guess that is pretty good for him haha. It's funny how Hendry thinks he finds some hidden treasures in players that don't produce very well. Although he is a career .297 hitter.

As a fan I think we all always want our team to try to fill a hole or better the team in some manner regardless of how they are playing...but like everyone said if nothings really out there don't trade just to do it. They keep this play up and they are right there for the division and wild card...too bad the damn NL West is so damn good. Power seems to be the biggest issue I think with the team so if Lee comes around in that department that should only make them better. GOOOO DEROSA!

I liked your go Derosa he's been one of my favorite players to watch this year. No one really excepted him to do much and when he was the only one producing early I thought this guy was a great find for us. He plays 3B to give Aram a day off 1B to give Lee a day off 2B is his main position and he can even play outfield talk about utility. Well good luck to everyone else's teams and I hope the cubs can beat out the Brewers in the central and i can watch them in october!

Im an undercover cubs fan however my heart lies with the Phils so I hope they take the division. I used to watch DeRosa in college, he was close friends with my cousin on the U of Penn team so I've been following him since college.
