Barry Bonds is the all time home run king
Barry Bonds has passed Hank Aaron tonight, hitting home run number 756 off of Washington Nationals Pitcher Mike Bacsik on a 3-2 pitch. He is now the all time home run king and will always be #1 in my book. Congratulations to Barry Bonds

Keep in mind Meik's book only has pop-up pictures, and no words.

I will give credit to Mr. Bonds, he is the all-time HR champion and there is really nothing that can be said that will change that fact.
That being said let me also point out; I have no doubt he used and is still using steroids/HGH. Many others are also doing the same thing. Pointing out that he has never been caught is baloney, he has been caught by his own admission of "I thought it was flaxseed oil." The entire era is tainted not just Bonds, similiar to the early 1930's when baseball deliberately juiced the ball. Forty years from now when we are all old decrepit men, people will be going to their doctor for flu shot and their annual shot of HGH and wondering what the hell all the hulabaloo was about. |

Bonds certainly was the best steroid user of the era however. No one else taking the "juice" was putting up numbers like him.

Juice aside Bonds is arguably the greatest player of the last 30 years. The only guys even close were the pre-injury Griffey Jr and I suppose A-rod.

I still love that as he got older all of his categories grew (like his body and head) when near everyone else in baseballs decline.
