FINALLY! It seems like forever since there has been any meaningful UFC events or shows. Saturday night, there are some really good fights on the card, i'm excited. Just looking at the card, I don't see many fights with the "boring" potential.

Did you leave the GSP/KOS fight out on purpose?

I have seen Mir's fights, and agree.. he's looked like shit. And against most fighters, i would pick against him. But Hardonk looked clueless against one of Tito's cornermen (McCully), who isn't very good himself. I'm not saying i will be shocked if he loses, but i have to pick him over a crappy Hardonk.

I can see the GSP/Kos fight going either way, and i can also see it as the most exciting of the night.

i saw the fight where mculley just laid on top of him with no real offense but until mir looks like a fighter again, i'm picking against him

Couture is a BEAST. Sure, his head smashing Gonzaga's nose was a big help, but a one sided fight dominated by the 44 year old. He took a few big punches and a huge kick to the head and didn't seem fazed. Just an awesome fight for him. KO round 3.

GSP, as I kind of expected wins pretty easily. He's just too experienced all around than Kos is. But the suprising thing was how easily GSP out wrestled Kos, as he said he would.

Cote beats Grove by 1st round KO... yuck, this wasn't what I wanted. Back to the drawing board for Kendall.

Stevenson beats Pelligrino by UD. I had it 2 rounds to 1 for Stevenson. Good win for "Daddy"

Huerta beats Crane by TKO round 3. Huerta should be up next for a title shot... he's like 5-0 in the UFC and is a tank. If Sherk is suspended for a year, Huerta and BJ should fight for the title. If BJ is moving up, then it should be Huerta vs. Stevenson.

Mir makes quick work of Hardonk, as I expected. Submission in a minute and 17 seconds.

BUT, in the most controversial fight of the night Babalu Sobral beats David Heath by submission in round 2. And Sobral's fight winnings are being held because he refused to let go of the choke after Heath tapped out... he held on to it until Heath was unconcious. Apparently he was pissed because Heath wore a shirt with Sobrals mug shot from when he was arrested. I wish that was shown!

saw the highlights of the cotoure fight on sportscenter..anyway...good for cotoure..i underestimated him again and that was a mistake...he's amazing

life jinx worked...yes!!!

cote is no joke and i'm not shocked he beat kendall

i was hoping pellegrino would get the big win...f stevenson

no doubt huerta will get the title shot once they sort out the sherk mess...i say make it vacant and do a mini-tourny

hopefully mir looked better...he was damn good when healthy

i read about this on ufc..babalu said he needed to show him respect...why would the ufc not show that whole thing...boo to them

The question now with Couture will be "what would have happened if Gonzaga's nose didn't shatter"? He was obviously pretty much out of the fight after that... he even tried to stop fighting because he couldn't see anything.

Grove was actually winning the round, but Cote caught him with a big right hand and Kendall couldn't recover in time or last til the end of the round.

Mini light weight tourney sounds great to me... get the top 4 in there to figure out who's the champ.

Didn't show the Mir fight, but in only 1:17, not sure how much of a look we would have gotten of him.

I don't think Dana wanted to promote what Sobral did... but yes, i really wish they would have shown it.

well all i'm saying is, its not a bad loss by kendall cause cote isn't a pushover
