Only 8 days away!!!

Its weird that two teams will be playing regulars season games in England while others will still be playing pre-season games.

I don't think I've ever seen an NHL preseason game...worthwhile or even shown?

I'll watch'em. A chance to see some younger players before they get sent down.

Eh, they are worthwhile i guess if you have nothing else going on. Most of the starters play most games. But they see limited ice time. I think Comcast is only carrying 2 of the Flyers pre-season games anyway. I don't usually watch too much of it.

NHL preseason is pretty much like the NFL preseason. Good chance to see possible future players but the games are typically not so great. Every once in a while you do get a good game - usually when both teams are throwing the futures on the ice; it's the young guys trying to make the team that are worth watching. Who beats who doesn't mean much (again, think NFL preseason or Formula 1 practice rounds) because you never know what each team was working on and who they were playing. The last couple of games are usually a little better as the coaches start playing the 'regulars' more to get them tuned up and ready. At least they don't charge full season ticket prices like the NFL does.
