Story link

I don't know a whole lot about UFC or MMA but I like this writer quite a bit and thought I would post this column. What do you guys think?

totally agree with the writer...bispin getting that decision was sickening and reminded me of how the ufc is moving closer to boxing in the way they decide fights...what were the judges looking at?? totally favortism towards bisping and dana white should step in and do something about this

Yes, the decision was shit, and Hamil should have won. But both judges were asked to explain and they had pretty good explanations. They are right, that many fights are different live than on tv... you can see punches being landed in the clinch or on the ground live that the tv cameras might not be picking up at that time.

We must rely on the cameras seeing everything, while the judges are there, just feet away from the fighters actually are.

don't care...this was obvious...he dominated round 1...got all the takedowns....forced the fight..all prerequisites to get points...

yep, and both judges said they gave Hamil the first round and Bisping the last two. They made good points that were hard to argue against... but just from watching the fight i had Hamil winning.

There are always going to be contraversies when a sporting event requires a judge to declare a score or a winner. The UFC will sin or swim as a legitimate sports as long as it can keep these questionable bouts to a minimum.

Agreed Bil, and so far, the UFC has VERY FEW of these controversial decisions, which is a good thing.

Look here Sig, there is a lot of talk about the whole thing. While I agree with you, they didn't convince me Bisping won the fight at all... i'm just saying i agree you can see more of the fight when you are actually there.
