Cowboys -v- bears
Still no props? OK, fine. Devin who?
bears WERE something like 19-4 at home over the past x# of years. Oh, and they don't give up 30pts to ANYONE. This is clearly a great win for the Boys. Two things - 1) Flozell has got to stop killing us with his false start penalties and 2) the officiating crew for this game was HORRIFIC. Two really bad calls in the first half (1 on Witten for a block in the back and 1 on TO for Off PI); the blown end of the first half, and not measuring for the first down late in the game (this one was in favor of the Boys). Oh and if it is not for Roy Williams not wrapping up his tackle, the bears may not have gotten into the endzone. Last edited by NICKinDALLAS; September 23rd, 2007 at 11:42 PM. |

The NFC stinks to high hell. The Boys have to be considered one of the (few) favs for the conference. Its sickening.
GO PACK GO! |

What a game!!!!! All parts of the team worked great today.
1) Special Teams was awesome today. Made Devin what's his name?, become a non factor. Great job there. Need to block better on field goal tries. I was a little worried about what was going to happen after that field goal block. I give them an "A-" this week. 2) Defense did what they were supposed to do and that was to cause turnovers and keep the Bears offense from scoring. Especially when our offense couldn't get anything going in the 1st half. Roy Williams made up for his non tackle with the Int so I will let him slide on that one. I will give them an "A" this week. 3) Offense was great in the 2nd half as usual. I agree with Nick that Adams needs to stop the drive killing with all of his penalities. Romo to T.O. worked out great this week. Barber played an awesome game. Witten was great. Blocking was really good from the O-line. Even Julius had a couple of good runs that were called back so we won't see that on the stat sheet. Now if they could do this for 2 halves that would be spectacular (sp?)! I give them an "A-" this week since the 1st half sucked and Adams can't wait until the ball is snapped. 4) Coaching did a really good job this week. "A+" for the coaching staff. |

The Cowboys are CLEARLY the best team in the NFC at this point. IMO, there is no other team even close right now. Yes, there are teams with potential to play better than they have been and could catch the Boys. But as of today, its a run away. Wow.

I'm still concerned with the Defense, Roy is a liability but it was good to have TNew back. If they start looking ahead they could get caught by the rams. Good receivers over there. Keep their head on straight and Oct 14 in Dallas will be HUGE!!

The D is the biggest liability on this team. The Rex Grossman experiment has got to be over at this point.

The Bears are stupid if they start Grossman next week. He's completing less than 50% of his passes and has 1 td, and 6 ints. Cedric Benson is obviously not Thomas Jones and can't carry the team the way Grossman needs him to. They should have signed Culpepper or Leftwich when they had the chance.

Benson should be fine with an even descent QB they have the o line and receivers. Griese time!

Agreed... the difference is that Jones was very good without that. Benson isn't. Benson needs a good QB to be good.

Oh it seems like that is exactly the case...I watch Benson and he almost seems hesitant at times like he's waiting for the gap to open to run through...hit it hard and run your ass downhill ala T Jones.

I had Dallas in the money pool, so you get props here. I was bartending so didn't gaet a chance to really focus on the game. It did seem to me that there were a lot of dropped passes on both sides.

The first half was disgusting with dropped passes with potential TD's dropped on both sides on semi-routine catches. Crayton really seems bothered by the pinky he keeps saying is fine.
All in all, it was a great game, and Romo's pocket presence was fun to watch. |
