Cowboys -v- jills

Are you kidding me?!?! Wow.
This is just what the Cowboys needed... a wake up call. And the beauty of it is; it didn't cost them the game. Lots of tail kicking this week in practice. Better clean this up now b/c the pats are not the jills.

Delicious!

This was an amazing bad game. Classic trap game and the 'boys actually got lucky and won the game. They need to get their heads straight and get ready to play the biggest game of their season so far. Nick Folk is my new favorite player.

Did we really need two threads on this game? lol, anyway,,,

*6 turnovers Romo?? F you, thats -12 fanasty points, thankfully you managed to throw for one TD (to your team that is).

*Nice hands TO. Someone needs to take him to "catching 101" class. Use your hands you twit, not your body on that ball for the 2 point conversion. And there is no excuse to drop the ball at the end of the game.

*I've said it before, i'll say it again... that timeout bullshit right as the ball is snapped is shit. The league needs to get on this.

Yes, we need as many threads we can get for America's Team.

2nd of all, I agree with you Jay on your point on the timeout shit. I almost threw my phone through my TV last night. My stomach was churning when that happened. Hey Goddell get on that bullshit.

HA HA HA HA that was fun watching the "vaunted" Cowgirls get man handled by a 3rd string D. The end result sucked and was as lucky as it comes...better check your gut to see if you really are that good considering the records of all the teams you've beat this year.

Big mistake by the Bills to let the rook throw on that 3rd down in easy FG range...run the ball with Lynch and hope for a first...if not take the 3 points and let Homo continue to complete passes to your D.

Also conveniently the game clock didn't start running on the onsides kick and they only took 2 seconds off the clock..that was wrong...easily 5 or 6 seconds went by from the time of the kick to the tip to the scrum for the ball that squirted loose and went another 8 yards and was finally down...that game ends before that 1 second is left to kick the ball.

Also I have said it before and I'll say it again. I have NO problem with the timeout call at the last second during the kick. You're a kicker who is paid to kick the ball and do nothing else...let alone the fact that you are playing a game for a living making a ton of money...you should be able to do your job over and over and over again if need be. Clutch kickers (as Folk was last night) don't care about that crap and some welcome the challenge.

GOO PATS...their biggest fan next week is ME...feel free to cheat if you want...but seeing this team against the Bills it shouldn't be needed! YEEE HAA!

Were we watching the same game? Two seconds is more than enough time to run off the clock there. It's my understanding that the clock does not start running until the ball is fielded (if that's a word) and even if it wasn't, on my mississippi count, 3 seconds elapsed max from the kick to the recovery.

I'm much more inclined to focus on:
The overturned "completion" to owens without a conclusive angle that was mysteriously looked at even after the snap had transpired the play before that.

The disgusting 27 yard line spot that the Bills got late in the 4th that allowed them to run another 100 seconds off the clock.

The non force out call on Owens, the BS delay of game on Owens, and the Marshawn Lynch ball launch that went 15 yards that was somehow not a delay of game.

Not to be a dick or anything, but it is just not realistic to claim that 6 seconds came off the clock on that play and that the Bills weren't getting the officiating that would allow them to win the game.

On a side note, I wanted to throw up listening to the announcers proclaim Edwards to be doing such an amazing job in the game when at the time of said proclamation, he had 133 yards passing, and was responsible for 3 fucking points.

Not the way I wanted the game to go, and I'm really glad I couldn't get to a computer to bet this disaster... but the end result is great, and hopefully this can act as a wakeup call.

As much as I'm looking forward to this weeks matchup, I know that there will be 1 of 2 responses depending on the results..... 1. See, the cowboys suck and should be 0-6 since they lost, yada yada yada, or 2. Well, that game was just a fluke and if a,b, & c didn't happen, then the game would have ended justly.

also, why did it seem really easy for Newman to get run down after that late pick??? Madden 08 tells me he's much faster than that, hehe.

Put the crack pipe down. Romo (and to a lesser extent TO) were 'handled', but the rest of the Offense played very well. Especially the O line. Additionally, when the game was on the line Romo stepped up HUGE! He's still a stud (and you know it) and even when he tosses for multi picks he has the sack to pull the game out.

So, by that logic, you'd agree that Dallas is tied as the second best team in the NFL behind the Colts. You'd also agree that the Patriots at this point, may very well be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

"
WEEK 5 OVERVIEW
Plenty of reasons for New England fans to be excited. The Patriots are 5-0 and have outscored their opponents by a tremendous and league-leading 117 points.

But don't book your Super Bowl tickets just yet, Boston football fans. The Patriots remain the most untested team in the NFL this year.

The Patriots do not have a single victory against a Quality Opponent. The other remaining undefeateds in the NFL, Dallas, Green Bay and Indy (as of the end of the early games Sunday) all have at least one win over a Quality Opponent. Indy actually has a league-leading three victories over winning competition.

The disparity gets even greater: New England is the only team in football through Week 5 here that has not even played a Quality Opponent, let alone beat one.

The Patriots may yet be the best team in football. But, as of right now, we don't know if they are. All we know is that they're the most untested team at this point in the season."

Man you Cowboys fans are sensative. You are fighting with an Eagles fan, of course he is going to give you guys shit. The same way i will give Broncos fans shit whenever their team plays poorly. Not to mention, what does it matter if he or anyone gives them credit for their year so far? There is still a long way to go.

Just my ... enjoy the win and make fun of the Eagles for being 1-3.

I had thought about going with the Eagles angle, but honestly, it's too easy, and to easily rebuffed with "Yeah so we suck this year, so what...."

So instead I whine and pick apart his arguments of why we suck, because, well, it's a slow day at the office....

So by the time the ball was tipped mishandled by the bills player squirted free and went 8 yards and was run down bobbled and then landed on by the Dallas player was 2 seconds. 2 seconds may be a long time for cowgirls fans in bed but lets be real here.

If you want to nit pick the plays that went "for" the bills the same can be said about a number of plays that went "for" the cowgirls (I don't think the penalty for delay of game on TO was warranted btw and Lynch should have been called based on the TO play). How about the 15 yd face mask called against the bills that was clearly a 5 yard incidental? How about the 3 yes 3 fouls against the cowgirls on 1 yes 1 play when all they were called for was a 5 yd face mask...not the horse collar by the dicktwat that created the penalty or the late hit out of bounds.

We could go back and forth all we want. The cowgirls barely and shouldn't have escaped this game with a win. The Bills are just that bad. A large number of teams in the NFL would not have lost this game the way the Bills did. Enjoy the last second win against a 3rd string D and a rookie QB and RB.

The cowgirls are clearly the the best NFC team...by far...but to me they are beatable by a lot of teams even though they should win those games. This weekend will be a great game. Here's to rooting for the AFC from this point on out!
