OSU 1, they earned it last year and didn't loose much from a final four team. UT 2, they blew Kansas out of the building last year, and are bringing in the nation's best freshmen class to replace Mouton Ivery and Thomas. KU should be 3rd at best, the way they struggled through the big 12 schedule does not warrant a preseason 1 in a conference that is looking pretty weak from 4-12. If OU turns it around in one season after last years dissapointment I would be suprised, Mizzou should probably be fourth followed by Iowa State, Tech and NEbraska.

Ivery??? I don't recall him from last year's roster.
If you seriously believe KU to be the #3 team in the Big XII (because of me or not) then you truely are the dumbest mother fucker I've ever encountered who pretended to know anything about sports. What are you, like 12 years old? That's the only excuse I can think of for such a prediction. My god, you should be shot for such an outrageous post. You're obviously a lost cause so there's no point to you further wasting the world's resources. KU is at worst #3 in the nation. Nobody, and that includes UNC & UT, has anyone that can touch Wayne Simien. And let's not forget Keith Langford, Aaron Miles, and our sophomore NBA prospect, JR Giddens. We've also got a freshman class that any team in the Big XII would love to have. I don't care if OSU & UT lost anyone or not, KU didn't lose anything and then surpassed OSU & UT with the new players they brought in and the experience all of the older players gained. Of course, your head is so far up Roy Williams' ass (Or is it Rick Barnes' ass? It's hard to keep track with you.) you probably have no idea what's going on in the rest of the basketball world. |

I believe all 5 of Kansas' recruits this year where in the Top 100. The Huskers finally got a real center hopefully which will make them a little tougher and they got some decent size forwards. Returning Marcus Neal, Jake Muhleisen, John Turek as starters from last year we should have a decent team, like i said a fight to be in the top 6.
The only thing that could've helped Kansas was to keep David Paegant he seemed decent but it always seemed like he was hurt? Wayne Simien and Keith Langford will be 2 big forces to handle. But don't forget Okie State's John Lucas Co- big 12 player of the year and 3 other returning starters. The Big 12 will once again as it always is a force to be reckoned with!

All i can say is that as long as the Huskers make the post-season again it will be a good accomplishment. I'd much rather make the Big Dance then the NIT but it's going to depend on what they can do in the non-conference schedule vs teams like marquette, tennessee, UAB, Minnesota, also vs their rival Creighton. Nebraska must also win the games vs the not so good teams because you can beat the good teams but when you lose to bad teams it doesn't look good. I also think the worst they can finish is 7th in the Big 12 going 8-8 about in the Big 12 would be good then they would need a win in the Big 12 Tourney but all of that is up to how much they want it all i can do is hope they make the Big Dance for the first time since 97-98 season.
GO BIG RED!

Soft or not Padgett and fat boy were all you had at center, and now there gone, let's see
POS OSU UT KU PG Lucas JR (1) Daniel Gibson(3) Aaron Miles(2) SG Jameson Curry(2) PJ Tucker (3) Keith Langford(1) SF Joey Graham(1) Mike Williams(3) Jr Giddens(2) PF the other graham(3) Buckman(2) Wayne(1) C ???? (2) Klotz(1) Some Freshman or walkon(3) Bench ????? (3) Lamarus Aldridge(1) 4 other freshmen(2) Sydnell Harris et all KU is returning 4 starters(I'll count Giddens and all his NBA potential, although personally I come to find that if a kid can't dribble the ball his stock ain't exactly the highest in the world) from a team that got schlacked at Texas last year, that got whupped at OSU and finished third in the big 12. They also add 5 top 100 fresman to the mix. Sounds good, except that OSU returns 4 starters from a final four team that won the big 12, including the player of the year in John Lucas Jr, and adds an absolute scorer in Jameson Curry who is the leading scorer in North Carolna high school history. I don't know who else OSU brought in this year, but I garuntee they will continue to pound people on defense like they did last year, and they have the best point gaurd in the big 12 hands down. They also have the inside depth to contain one player, if the KU fresmen prove themselves to be worthy second and third options, then fine, but to say they deserve to be ranked preseason in front of a team that handled them last year and returns as much of their talent as Kansas does is just ludicrous. Maybe if Kansas had managed to make even one game with them close last year, but they didn't. That brings us to Texas who also handled up on KU last year. They return the deepest inside game in the nation with Buckman and Klotz and PJ Tucker who they are actually going to move out to the perimeter. If your excited about KU's 5 top 100 freshmen, then you ought to be really excited about Texas's fresmen. LaMarcus Aldridge is the third highest rated fresmen to come to college behind Kentucky's center, and North Carolina's Marvin Williams. Mike Williams is the fourth and he is their small forward. Daniel Gibson is the second highest rated point gaurd in the freshman class behind the kid at Kentucky. So a better fresman class has been added to a team that not only beat KU last year, but beat them soundly and all of a sudden KU is supposed to be the higher rated team, well I don't live in your little dream world, but I think it is quite realistic to consider KU the third best team in the big 12 coming into the season. Now if Simien all of a sudden becomes the Charles Barkley everyone at KU seems to think he has been the last 3 years then KU could definetley win the Big 12, but to consider them the preseason favorite is a joke that only a KU fan and a bunch of media types could understand............... |

- one last thing, Kansas has a great recruiting class, noone is questiong that, the problem is that you can't see that UT's 3 players are all better than any of the 5 that KU brought in. As one who does waste his time following recruitment, I was impressed with what Self did adding to his class late in the recruitment period, but just because he brought in more numbers wise talented players than anyone else in the nation, doesn't mean the players he brought in are as good as the 3 McDonald's players that UT brought in. I doubt if all 5 fresmen get significant time this season, but I bet you get signifcatn contributions from 3 of them, kind of like UT will only from better players.

A little proof to that point:
Texas freshman point guard and McDonald's All-American Daniel Gibson has been named the Big 12 Conference Preseason Freshman of the Year by league coaches, it was announced Tuesday. |

Um...I didn't waste my time reading any of those posts. All I have to say is that the coaches must not see it your way.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/rankings In their defense, I don't know who in their right mind would see it your way. |

Gotta admit y'all got the coaches fooled to, but see here's the problem I have with you, I make valid points up there and all you can come up with is um, I didn't waste my time. In other words you actually agree with what I'm saying up there, or are too dumb to hold any form of reasonable conversation on the topic without slipping back to your normal idiocricy.

Or I have better things to do with my time than read your biased rants that have no basis. Somebody that actually read his earlier nonsense, tell me I'm right.
