Awesome, way to start this thread Klicks! I have to search for these games online since they are never shown in the states. The Flyers #2 overall pick from last season VanRymesdyk (sp) is on the US team.

cool. I've only checked the Canadian roster in any detail, but will be going through all the teams in the next while. I noticed a Forsberg on Sweden, currenty playing for MODO, wonder if he's Peter's son? I haven't been able to find out yet, but am looking.
I highly recommend TSN.CA as a reference site for the championship - if you can't get the TSN channel on your cable/satellite I think their website may have some simulcasts. |

lol - and then I noticed you deleted (moved I guess) and changed mine. I was fast by pure fluke, just noticed a comment had been posted so I checked - probably saw it just after you posted. You re-posted it in the Flyers, I mean future champs thread?

I read tsn.ca daily, love that site. Sadly, if you aren't in Canada, you can't watch their simulcasts. It really drives me nuts.

Game over. USA wins 5-1. VanRiemsdyk named player of the game. Beating Kzn tells us nothing, but its good to get an opening game win.
Also, Sweden beat Slovakia 4-3. Two good match-ups coming up next, Canada vs. Czech and Finland vs. Russia. Canadas team is STACKED, i don't see how they can lose a game. |

Thanks. But sadly, the NHL Network won't have any games until Jan. 2nd, after all the group stage games are done. But there are some sopcast feeds of the games that i can use until then. Not to mention this is in Europe, so all the games are during the day, when i'm at work.

I was wondering how you were going to enjoy the games when you were posting about games in progress. Work sucks...its overrated and such a waste of life.
GO USA...I know nothing about these teams or the players on them sadly. |
