League fines Patriots' Wilfork 4th time this season

For the fourth time this season, New England Patriots nose tackle Vince Wilfork has been sanctioned by the league, with the latest instance a $5,000 fine for a face-mask penalty in last week's AFC Championship Game victory over the San Diego Chargers.

Why oh why does the league continue to persecute this pure and virginal football player. Is it really necessary to hang from a cross of fines such a fine upstanding example of American manhood. What will this do to his self-esteem?

I agree 100%, I mean, 15k is insane when in week 17 he was just simply trying to wipe the cold out of Brandon Jacobs eye.

I actually like that he owned up and admitted he had no business with his hand in Jacobs face like that.
