Ok, this was a bit weird
The other day I watched Tombstone, which btw is a kick ass movie. I got to thinking about the Old West after it was over, and I remembered that Buffalo Bill Cody is in my family tree. I really didn't know much about the guy, so off to the web I went.
I ended up on this message board that is all about legends of the old west. I talked off and on over the last few days with this guy who is a historian, and knows waaay too much about all of those guys. Today he pointed out to me that I had not posted in the "introduction" thread. He said that they have this little questionaire to fill out, which is basically who you, where your from and what you do kind of stuff. I agreed to do it, the whole time wondering why I was bothering, since I was not planning on becoming a full time poster there. Long story short, it turns out the guy lives 12 blocks from my house. It wouldn't seem so strange to me if we both lived in LA or something....but BEND OREGON????!!!!! |

LOL, yes I think you did. This guy is harmless though. It's just ironic that it happens to be in a town the size of a map dot.

Oxen are voracious animals, and they all survived. We lost a couple of chickens, but that is to be expected. Now I have to go and stoke the fire in the smokehouse, and clean my rifle.
