College Football Playoffs
Has anyone ever sat down and thought of a better way that the ranked teams can play each other in a playoff senario! I am interested in these thoughts, Like Number 1 pays number 10, stuff like that

I think they should take the top 16 teams in the nation and have a playoff between them 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, 3 vs 14 and so on.. i know it wouldnt be possible because they dont have the time and the money problem is my guess but that would be nice to see.

8 teams using bowl format. 4 BCS bowls are first round then next rounds can be new 'bowls'
Rose Bowl Big 10 Pac 10 Sugar SEC and at large Orange Big East/ACC at large Tositos Big 12 at large (basically how it was before the BCS) Would be awesome and still keep the bowls!!!! |

There'd still be controversey. There's no way to avoid it. It it was a 32-team format, what about the team in 33rd place? Close but not close enough? If it were 16 teams, the same thing happens with the 17th positoned team. No matter what system they come up to replace the BCS, there will be teams that are left out, and there will be controversy.

Anyway they chose to do it sum1 is gonna get screwed out of a spot you can say that for nething if you go to playoffs then the 9th team will get screwed out just like utah will pry get knocked out of BCS bowl by 1 rank this year when they are good enough to be in it but o well i guess we really have no say and they'll do what they want

By doing a playoff system we would have a number 1. There would be no questions about it. That is the reason for the playoff. It would be either six or eight teams. The bowls would still be there and make as much money as they do now. They need to go to this system or we will always have co-champions or a champion with a huge question mark. This year USC, OK, Auburn, Utah, etc. all have a damn good chance of being undefeated. Right now USC would play OK, but what about Auburn. They are argueably the best team in college football and are in the toughest conference. Why should they get screwed?? College football needs a playoff system!!!!!!!!

nothing ever will satisfy everyone.
your undefeated your in. you win your conference and have one loss your in. two teams same conference, conference champ in. 2 losses your out unless there is only 7 one loss teams then a whole new set of rules are figured out. With how schedules are made I don't know how many teams could make it through the season undefeated or with one loss. Right now I not finding many more than there is right now which is 10. Think about it . . . if there were a true playoff system, what would we, the networks, and the sportswriters have to speculate, postulate, and argue about?
