A little early in the season, but i'm bored.
Phils play the Mets today at 1:10. Moyer vs. Perez. We usually smack him around pretty well, hopefully they can do it again today. |

Interesting stat from Mike and Mike this morning, Phils Starter Moyer pitched and won the last opening day game at Shea stadium only active pitcher older than said stadium...wow haha

Gotta give it to the Phils pen this year, what everyone thought would continue to be a weakness is doing quite well. Lidge seems to have returned to previous form and that is great, if he can continue pitching this well and stay healthy a long term deal could be looked out later this year.
I attribute a lot of the pens success so far to the fact that our starters have pitched (I think) the 3rd most innnings in the league meaning the relievers are getting proper rest aren't over extended and are used properly which has given them the 2nd best ERA and batting average against. Keep up the good work, nice to see pitching not a total let down this year. Also I love seeing that this lineup is still scoring runs and winning games with JRoll out for so long Victorino just coming back and Howard sucking hairy canadian moose cock thus far. Chase rules, keep this up and it will be a 3 peat in Philly. |
