He never reported on Jose Theodore preparing to test the FA market. After 2 seasons of being Peter Budaj's water boy, the Propecia using French freak apparently feels he needs a raise.

Sakic needs to see what Selanne and Neidermayer did to the Ducks this past year. Those two waiting, and waiting really hurt the Ducks as a whole. With the new cap, he really needs to decide today.

I think the Sakic situation is a bit different. He is incredibly loyal to the Avalanche organization, and Kroenke enterprises. He will only come back if he knows he can compete (which he may not be able to do), and he has never been greedy. I wouldn't be surprised if he has some kind of unwritten agreement with them, whereas they can carry on with putting a team together, and if he is able to play, he would do so at a discounted rate. Of course, this is just my .02, which is typically only worth .01.
