NHL Off-season thread
Ok, I will start it. No links from me, but there are a lot of trades and signings going on this day before the free agency season.
Tampa Bay seems to be making the most moves so far, but hiring Melrose as a coach is baffling to me. He couldn't win it with Gretzky, can't win it without. |

Oh and UFA signings didn't start until noon today Sig... so, thats one reason it wasn't crazy at midnight like the NFL. But no, its not as crazy as the NFL. Lots less FA's in the NHL than in the NFL. NHL rosters of around 25 players doesn't come close to the NFL.

Thanks, today is fun for me.
Toronto Maple Leaf fans can expect at least one familiar face next season. Sources are telling Sportsnet that goaltender Curtis Joseph has agreed to a one-year deal with his former club. Now thats looking towards the future. lmao. 1967 |

Flyers trade Gauthier to LA and 2nd round pick in 2010 draft to LA for Patrik Hersley and Ned Lukacevic
Basically cost us a 2nd rounder to get Goats money off our cap. Another two defensive prospects for us. We are cornering the market on D-man prospects, lol BREAKING NEWS: Nashville trades defenceman Marek Zidlicky to Minnesota for prospect Ryan Jones from Miami of Ohio and a second round pick. Details to follow. Great trade for the Wild... wow |
