Sharks sign D Blake away from Kings (AP)
Veteran defenseman Rob Blake signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the San Jose Sharks on Friday, leaving Pacific Division rival Los Angeles for a more immediate chance at a championship. Wait! So the Sharks defensive "short comings" were an issues last year this says... so they go out and get Blake and Boyle???? They are two offensive guys who aren't, what one would could say, good defensively. Not to mention, Blake = washed up.

They are smarter than we are (we hope anyway), maybe this is an offensive injection that they felt their D needed to let their other D men cover the D aspects, who knows...Go Sharks!

Either way, Blake is another year older and he wasn't that good offensively last season. And to simply say, "they are smarter than us" would instantly end any and all debates with every signing/trade. What fun would that be?
