State of the Stalkers

I wanted to start a new thread to kind of get a feel from everyone about the team and what they feel is the best for all. This is not intended to be a piss session just thoughts and ideas about the team.

Currently we are sending out a lot of contracts to try to help solidify the team.

I think we should try to come up with a general consensus about what we are trying to do, do we want to try to sign starters that could take starting roles away from ranters? Do we want to get involved in huge salaries and signing bonuses so that new players (non-ranters) are able to buy high level equipment some ranters can't or won't be able too? Is it better to look for starters or is it better to look for even level guys and try to spread the playing time out? Are we going to hurt the current guys by trying to sign bigger contracts for new guys when their contracts need to be renegotiated as they level up? I know we want to be competitive but I am trying to gauge at what cost to the current team and ranters on the team.

Again this isn't a bitch session at all just tying to feel out the ranters and their thoughts on the team. I think this game is fun and I worry that we could take some of the fun out of it if some ranters start losing their starting jobs, whats the point then?

Constructive thoughts and maybe more discussion on a overall plan would be great, hell this could be all mute if we can't sign anyone, the limey greedy bastards, haha.

My thoughts are all over the other threads. We NEED to add depth, we don't have enough players. Since we have to add guys, we might as well make them be good guys. No reason to add crappy players to a horrible team. I'm not concerned if some Ranters players are back-ups... in the grand scheme of things, what does it matter? All players get playing time, so maybe some will get a few less than before. Not to mention most Ranters have multiple players, so everyone will have guys who are starting. Hell, my RB has been a back-up since day 1.

We can't go with 11 guys on offense and 11 guys on defense. And if we don't have good depth, we will continue to get smoked when the back-ups play. I'd rather every single one of my guys be back-ups than go another year 1-15, losing by 50 every time. Which is what is going to keep happening since every other team is going to be getting better as well.

If you look at our new conference, we are still out classed by just about every team.

haha...i think depth is needed...i don't care if my guys are backups to an extent..i doubt at this point we'll sign anyone in the 20s...i think its best if we find someone willing to boost this offseason and early next season...that's 6 levels..if you find a level 13 or 14 willing to do that..i think that's the way to go and just overpay that guy

I had about 10 offers out there as of last night. Were they all rejected, or are some still out there pending?

And i'm begging you... please don't send $300K just to get a player, imo, its not worth it.
