On first thought my reaction was, wow, great short-term pick-up. After a little more consideration however, giving up Farnsworth may not be worth it in the long term.

i like this pickup alot...good rental player in a spot we badly needed...moeller and molina are just not the answer...farnsworth was pitching better but his deal was up at season's end and we couldn't justify signing him again since he sucked every year up to about june of this year

i do agree an effective bullpen is hard to replace..but they have some arms to throw in there plus i wouldn't be shocked if they made another move...clearly he wasn't working out and neither was latroy hawkins who was traded to the astros for a 2 pack of polly oh string cheese
