NHL promotes Collins to COO (AP)
The NHL has promoted John Collins to chief operating officer. The former NFL and Cleveland Browns executive will now oversee league communications and club consulting and will continue the duties in business and media operations he has held as senior executive vice president since 2007. Collins guided the launch of the NHL Network in the U.S.
