#1 Prospect Williams to decide today.
It sounds as though Derrick Williams will make his decision today at 3:30 (ESPNews) on which school he is going to. Anyone have any guesses or "inside" info. as to where he is leaning? I'm guessing Texas as my first guess, and Florida as my second. What do ya think?

Well i can see that this isn't on anyone's "give a shit list"... but he's going to Penn State! This guy has the making of being a great player, and he should be fun to watch. This is HUGE for PSU.
I can't imagine why he would choose Penn State however but, its good that he will be in the big 10. |

He must have felt sorry for Joe Pa... I think he made a big mistake..
We'll probably never here from him again. |

One player does not a team make and unless PSU can recruit other top caliber players of his stature, then PSU will continue to be the same piece of shit ass team that they've been over the past 5-6 years.Bob is probably right when he says that we'll probably never hear from him again and he more than likely chose PSU because he can step right in as the starter, but he's going to quickly realize that his situation isn't going to be the same as it was for Adrian Peterson whose OU team already had quality players.

The one good point they made yesterday is now Derrick can get on the phones and start recruiting for PSU. Since there are alot of undecided prospects out there, it will help PSU for him to call the kids and say "hey, i decided to go here, you should come here and help me build something good". It will look much better to other potential recruits to see that the #1 player wants to go there. QB's may now want to go there because they see they will have this kid to throw to, and it will make their play easier. Interesting to see if this does help their program get back to where it was.

It is true, though, that an elite player can attract other talent to struggling programs. Usually, however, its a QB. This guy looks like he'll play WR and/or DB, but if he is truly something special he will attract some talent.
I like the fact that he chose, in his words, honesty and integrity in a coach versus simply playing for a currently top program. Kind of reminds me of Michael Bush going to Louisville a couple years ago. He will be the Man there this year with LeFlors leaving. |

I hope he is the beginning of a successful turn-over for Penn St. I give him alot of credit for passing up on the big-name schools.

But wasn't Penn State's last recruiting class pretty good? I know they got Morelli in there but not sure about who else since I don't follow recruiting that much.
Not like it matters since they still can't keep up with tOSU |
