Texas Tech 45 Cal 31 - Case Closed
I think Cal was awfully nice to go out of there way to vindicate all those misinformed voters that put Texas in front of Cal. In a game where Cal has home field advantage, Texas Tech drops a whupping on 'em, and the game was not as close as the score.........
For those who care to remember, final score in Lubbock Texas 51 Texas Tech 21.............I think that should pretty much close discussion on who should have gotten the Rose Bowl bid.......... |

This certainly puts a gaping hole in the argument. Cal deserves any and all criticism. They didn't show up to play and deserved to lose.
To say because Tech lost to Texass so Texass must be better than Mexico. New Mexico lost to Navy in the Emerald Bowl. Does that mean New Mexico AND Navy should be ranked higher than Tech? If so, shouldn't have New Mexico been playing in the Holiday Bowl? It helps your argument, sure. It makes all the people who said Cal deserved it over Texass shut up, sure. Regardless, Cal sucked and lost. Made themselves look bad, the Pac10 look bad, and maybe worse of all, made Whinin' Brown and Texass look right. Now, what happens the argument if Texass loses?
