Exclamation **Breaking News on Adam Pac-Man Jones

Reports out of Dallas are that while attending a Ludacris CD release party Tuesday night, Adam Jones got into a 'violent altercation' with his security detail in a hotel restroom. No police report was filed and the Cowboys currently have no comment on the situation.
Also at the event were, reportedly, Tank Johnson, rookie TE Martellus Bennett, and Roy Williams.

It would appear that the security detail thought that Jones was doing something that he shouldn't be doing, removed him into a restroom and that is when the fight broke out. A mirror was broken and Jones left without paying his tab (no word on if someone else covered it).

I wonder if we are about to find out Jerry's definition of 'Zero Tolerance'.

I dunno. If more information comes out on this it's going to be really hard for Jerry to turn a blind eye on this. I mean what with all of the posturing that Jerry did to get him and all. Another factor is Goodell and whether or not he seeks his own investigation. Time, as they say, will tell.

Just remember, you heard it here first.

MORE DETAILS ON PACMAN FIGHT

Posted by Mike Florio on October 8, 2008, 8:24 p.m.
We’ve tracked down Steve Pickett of CBS 11 in Dallas/Ft. Worth, who has been working the story of the Tuesday night fight involving Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones, and we’ve got some more details.
The incident occurred at a hotel that was hosting a party after the local premiere of the new Max Payne movie. Jones was not an overnight guest at the hotel.
Pacman was perceived to be “clearly agitated” (and intoxicated) while outside the hotel. At one point, Jones pulled off his shirt (he had a T-shirt under it) and then went back into the building.
Hotel security broke up the bathroom fight between Jones and the bodyguard. A police officer spoke with Jones outside the hotel, but no charges were filed and no report was generated.
The Cowboys claim that they have no information about the situation, and thus the team had no comment.
The open question is whether the bodyguard was someone whom Jones had hired, or whether the bodyguard was retained by the team to shadow and/or babysit Jones. If it’s the latter, Jones might have committed an automatic violation of the Personal Conduct Policy since, technically, the bodyguard is a co-worker.
We’ve recently heard that tension has arisen between Jones and the team regarding efforts to keep him out of settings in which trouble could arise. It’s unknown whether Jones attended Tuesday night’s function with the blessing of the team, or against its wishes. Not long ago, the team reportedly barred Pacman from participating in a celebrity beach volleyball tournament.

The expectation is that Jones is likely to be called to New York to explain his conduct to Goodell, a source close to the player said. Jones' reinstatement is contingent upon his ability to conduct himself appropriately.

You know, I'm actually suprised that we don't see more of this. Kids coming from low to middle income families, in some cases one parent homes, and the league dumps MILLIONS of dollars on them and expects them to know what to do. Expects them to forget their childhood friends (thugs or not) and expects them to stay out of trouble. That sounds inheriently like a recipe for disaster and the fact that the NFL has done so well to this point is, frankly, surprising.

To that end, I'd be ok with Jerry releasing Jones today but we all know that won't happen. Even though Jerry has little to no financial risk here, he is hurting at the CB position. We will get either no comment, the league is looking into it, or full on spin until such time that Jerry can sweep this under the rug. Just remember back in '98 after Michael Irvin had his brushes with the law he was placed on 'Zero Tolerance' status. To which he promptly took a pair of scissors and stabbed Everett McIver in the neck. In comes Jerry, "It was an accident. Michael slipped. These aren't the droids you're looking for." I love my Cowboys, but facts are facts.

Agreed. I would be shocked if Jerry Jones does anything. He's lucky no charges were filed or else he would not have the luxury of sweeping it under the rug.

"Those aren't the droids you are looking for" <--- lmao!

He punched his body guard as he was taking a piss... trust me, there is more wrong with him other than where he came from. That has noting to do with millions, or his thug friends. Especially since he KNOWS he can't do this shit anymore.
