The Air up There?
Come on, man. It's Kevin Bacon! KEVIN BACON! .....you almost stole my idea for a "top 10 sports movies of all time" article. You might kind of sort of would have consider Finding Forrestor a basketball movie, except for the glaringly obvious fact that it's a wholesale ripoff of Good Will Hunting, and not really about basketball. But it's the only basketball movie I can think of where the star basketball player is equal parts athlete and intellectual. THAT'S the problem with basketball movies. There's no real respect or compassion towards the players and their personalities. And there doesn't really need to be a basketball comedy movie. That's what we got the Harlem Globetrotters for. |
