DUKE LOST AT HOME

funny stuff. not sure how good they are but they don't lose at home very often.

Those inter-conference games are always very tough in the ACC, no matter who's home floor it is on. Duke lost to a very underrated Maryland team, i don't think we can really question their ability until we see some more of them. Not too many teams can go the entire year undefeated. Its not like they lost by 20 to Villanova.

Great game from MAryland, Dook looked sloppy though. I am not a Dook fan for a second, and I do think they are overrated, but they are better than they played last night, they won't be an easy win for Wake or Carolina. Daniel Ewing is a stud, he is having some issues with playing alot of minutes at the point this year, but he is a a good player. I have issue with a good ole Texas boy going up to Durham, but he is the closest I have coming to actually liking a dook player ever..........

shows what most of us, whether we are Haters, Dookies, or unbiased, thought all along....they are a really good team, but not 15-0 good, by Feb 9th, theyll be 18-3 at best, they get VTech, then at Wake (L-chalk it up), then 2 home games against GTech(if they get Elder back, lookout, a very mean team in a very bad phunk), then UNC is gonna come to Cameron and dominate..........the next 4 weeks arent too pretty either, except for VTech again, but a chance for revenge at Maryland, Wake and Tech again, and ending the reg season with a 20pt loss to UNC wont be a happy moment either

Duke 15-1 Jan. 27........4-7 rest of the way for a 19-8 record and a 5-6 seed unless they do something wild in the ACC tourney

BTW, Maryland isnt underrated....just underacheiving, big difference

damn, low blow,

but I think a loss at home to a team thats been struggling is still worse than a blowout on the road at an up and coming teams home court. But being down 32 is pretty bad, even on Mars

I agree, Duke is a very good team, but not top 5 or maybe not top 10 material. All we can do is wait and see how they do vs. the UNC's, Tech's, and Wake. But every year we see the ACC doing this... teams in the middle beat the top teams. That has a lot to do with how tough of a conference it is top to bottom. Hell even the bottom teams (virginia, clemson, Fla St.) are pretty strong teams capable of beating alot of top teams.

LOL, not really a shot at him (i try not to take too many shots at you guys cuz i love talking college ball with you guys.), just a shot at Kansas. I can not agree with you however. Duke was down by 3 points when they needed to start fouling and give Maryland the free points at the end. There is no way losing to a good Maryland team in a VERY close game (it was close the whole way) is worse than getting blown out from start to finish by Villanova. At home or on the road should not make that big of a difference.

I qualify my position with the fact that losing to Nova wasnt a conference loss, and road losses arent half as costly as home losses in any rating system, Polls, RPI, etc. so, its possible that Duke will have a 5 place drop as well since Nova is a 25 RPI whereas Maryland is a 42...well see Monday
