None of the so-called college experts are giving the Hawaii Warriors their due and its just wrong. Sure they are finally ranked 12th in the BCS, but we all know the BCS is a joke. This is where everyone who follows college would agree that division one football desperately needs a playoff system.
This past off season June Jones, the head coach of the Warriors contacted Michigan about playing Hawaii in their opening game, Michigan declined and opted for Appalachian State and we all know how that ended up. Then Jones contacted USC and asked if they would play Hawaii and they declined as well. Michigan State paid Hawaii $ 250,000.00 to back out of a game with the Warriors. So Jones is trying to get teams to play Hawaii and their non conference schedule does not seem to be their fault. Why don't teams want to face the Warriors? Is it the expense of traveling to Hawaii to play a game? Is it Colt Brennan? Please someone do tell!!
Hawaii clinched the WAC championship this past weekend with a 39-27 victory over Boise State and did move 3 spots in the BCS, but if they win against Washington this weekend coming up, they will be undefeated. If the Warriors finish the regular season at 12-0 and some how do not get a BCS berth, then the system is completely FLAWED. I firmly believe that Hawaii could play with anyone in the top 10 and beat them, no doubt in my mind. Boise State proved that the WAC can play and beat a team from the BIG 12 last year when they were WAC champion and played Oklahoma.
I know that others will think that I am crazy, stupid, or will think that I have no clue to what I am talking about and that maybe true, but the Warriors are for real and deserve more than what they are getting. Just my TWO CENTS
